In a career spanning four decades, he has recorded 14 albums, had several hundred covers of his songs, including the American folk classic Garden Song [Inch by Inch, Row by Row] and performed in clubs, concert halls and festivals across the US, Canada and Europe. This concert video was recorded at the Chocolate Church in Bath Maine, and includes many of David's Classic songs. He is accompanied by his 5 piece band.

The Capital Jazzfest takes place each September in Jefferson City, Missouri. This video recently won "Best Music Video" at the Missouri River Cultural Conservancy's Spring Awards Benefit, held April 19, 2013, in Columbia, Missouri.

The Footlighters began in 1953 as part of an effort to raise money to build a gym onto the then-new Bristol Consolidated School. Footlighters are known for bad jokes, fair to middling singing and dumb skits, all done in the spirit of community fun. After 60 years of annual community shows, the Footlighters performed their last show in 2013. This is there second to last show in 2012.
