PARTICIPATE IN THE COVID-19 AMERICAN HISTORY PROJECT
You’re invited to tell your story. The American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress is working with StoryCorps to record, preserve and share stories of Americans’ experiences with the COVID-19 pandemic. The collection, known as the COVID-19 American History Project, is designed to document what it was like to live in the U.S. during that time, with a particular focus on frontline workers.
YES & Co. is a group of comedic improvisers that united their talents in 2019 with a shared interest in performing truthful improvisation, exploring the human experience and making people laugh so hard that they wet themselves. YES&Co.’s improvisers and venues may have changed over time but we will always be dedicated to giving audiences and as much improvisational comedy as they can stand. YES&Co. performs on the Second Saturday of each month at the Portland Media Center in beautiful downtown Portland, Maine. Showtimes are at 7pm.
The Teller’s Garden is a unique Playback Theatre company. They bring together the art of improvisation with real-life stories shared by audience members. Using movement, drama, dialogue, and music, actors bring new life to the countless moments and events that shape all our lives.
We are delighted that Teller’s Garden is operating out of the Portland Media Center as one of our non-profit members and encourage you to check out one of their shows soon!
