Max Acree is a trombonist currently making his living in Boston, but he has toured, recorded and taught at the international level. Max was awarded a Downbeat undergraduate soloist award in 2012, and went on tour in France with the Bill Carrothers group. After being awarded a full scholarship to Berklee in 2014, Max recorded an album as soloist with Jerry Bergonzi and George Garzone featuring the music of Nando Michelin. In June of 2017, Max was the main guest artist at “Club De Trombones” Annual Improvisation Seminar in Buenos Aires, where he spent a week presenting his musical ideas on improvisation in clinics, and performing throughout the city at numerous clubs.
