Portland Media Center members have access to a growing selection of high-quality field production gear to help bring your creative projects to life—wherever they take you. Whether you’re filming an interview on location, capturing community events, or producing your own documentary, our field loaner kits are ready to go.

Canon XF405 Professional Camcorders (3 available)

Our field fleet includes three Canon XF405 camcorders—compact, lightweight, and built for professional video production. Each camera features:

Fiilex P3 Color K300 3-Light Kit (2 available)

Professional-grade lighting, designed for versatility and precision in the field. Each Fiilex P3 Color K300 Kit includes:

  • Adjustable color temperature (2800K–10000K) and hue/saturation for creative flexibility

How to Reserve Equipment

PMC members who have completed Certification Training are eligible to borrow field equipment at no cost. Equipment can be checked out for up to 72 hours with prior reservation.

Loaner Policies

  • Equipment must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance
  • A valid ID and signed loan agreement are required at pickup
  • Borrowers are responsible for returning gear on time and in good condition
  • Late returns may result in the temporary suspension of borrowing privileges
