Experience the dynamic improvisational comedy of Big Shirt, Portland’s newest improv troupe! Big Shirt partnered with PMC to record a live show in April 2024 which will air in May and be released online. This one-hour performance contains 100% improvised, unscripted scenes, inspired by conversations with the audience on topics such as: Pirate Birthday Parties, meeting your heroes, pesky in-laws, and Danny Devito. Big Shirt hopes you enjoy their first foray into the world of televised improv! This will air on Tuesday nights at 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. on Fridays.  

The group formed in early 2023 as a way of exhibiting the raucous, untethered, free-form style of improv seen at the Portland Improv Incubator, a one-of-a-kind jam founded by Peter Jacobs in 2022. That jam is a welcoming space for all, great for seasoned improvisers, beginners, and everyone in between. It’s hosted at Woodfords Club on Wednesdays from 7-9pm, $5 suggested donation. Big Shirt is made up of sharp, decisive, hilarious people named Holland Corson, Egan Davis, Peter Jacobs, Kate Michaud, Reilly Musgrave, Amanda Pratt, and Becca Wittman.
