The summer wrapped in a nice big bang. The Civic IQ intensive created a new group of media savvy and civic driven young citizens. They worked through podcasting, field recording, interviewing on camera, interviewing on the streets and creating content that supported the interview process. The energy and enthusiasm was infectious. Learn more about it further in the post.

Connor Ratliff brought his ‘Acting Class’ to our studio and we went live to broadcast and stream on all avenues. It was a huge hit, the studio was filled with uproarious laughter from the live audience that came out to see him. It was a great example of what we can do at the Portland Media Center.

We are continuously adding more workshops and classes to our schedule. If you’re interested in learning how to podcast or create a broadcast television show, check out our learn section of the website. Soon coming this fall and through the winter we will offer workshops on editing in the Adobe Creative Suite, and Davinci Resolve. And for those that are hoping to further their content creation, a workshop in After Effects.
