Pathways to Progress, Maine’s go-to program for conversations with local leaders, is back for its fourth season, and this year comes with an exciting change. Roberto Rodriguez, former Portland City Councilor and a frequent guest on the show in its first three seasons, is stepping into the role of host.
Rodriguez brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to the show, having been both a public servant and a passionate advocate for community progress. His prior appearances on Pathways to Progress gave viewers insight into his work, and now, as host, he’ll lead meaningful conversations with a wide range of guests.
Each month, Rodriguez will sit down with current and former politicians, community advocates, and grassroots leaders from across Maine. Together, they’ll explore the work being done to address key issues like housing, education, sustainability, and economic development.
The season premiere features a special guest: former Portland Mayor Ethan Strimling. Known for his work in public service and advocacy, Strimling joins Rodriguez to discuss challenges facing Maine and highlight ideas for building stronger communities. The episode opens with a fun and memorable scene that sets the tone for the season ahead.
Rodriguez expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, saying, “Having been a guest on this show, I know how important it is to showcase the efforts of those working to improve our communities. I’m excited to continue that mission and share these impactful stories with viewers.”
