From Locks and fences to Jobs and Paychecks

his production tells the stories of women who are in or have been recently released from the Washington Corrections Center for Women. Following release nearly 40% of the women reoffend and return. However, those in the TRAC program return to their communities with apprenticeships in building trades unions receiving livable wages and benefits. Only 3% from that program return to prison. This is a program that works and people have an opportunity to rebuild their lives and are self-supporting. The instructor of TRAC will soon be making presentations to state corrections agencies across the country.
