In episode #263 of Fast Forward: Contemporary Science Fiction,, writer and editor Nick Mamatas talks about his job as editor of the Haikasoru book line of Viz Media. He discusses how Japanese SF differs from American genre fiction, and gives some insight on the difficulties of translation. He also talks about his own writing career, and his penchant for satire, combining horror elements (particularly Cthulhu) with other genres.
