In this pilot episode of Beyond the Piers, Pierce falls in line with the 3rd Maine Volunteer Infantry, Company A – Maine’s largest group of Civil War Re-Enactors. From putting his shirt on backwards to firing a musket, he gets a taste of what it means to partake in such an engaging and meaningful hobby.

Beyond the Piers is an episodic limited-release series produced in collaboration with ?PMC Watch, where Between the Piers host Pierce Kempkes goes beyond the PMC to engage with guests in the field, and show off what they’re passionate about, and what makes the State of Maine so diverse and special.
