Portland Media Center continues to collaborate with the Maine Film Association (MFA) on advanced training workshop on video production. This month MFA held an all-day workshop on DSLR/DSLM Videography; Director of Photography, Matt Siegel was the instructor. The workshop was sold out. MFA will be at the Emerge Film Festival this month in Lewiston, on Saturday, April 28 from 1-5pm. They will be hosting two panel discussions on “Making It In Maine,” which will cover tips, tricks, trials and tribulations of Maine’s next-gen filmmakers. MFA held the first of these Making It In Maine panels here at PMC in February. It was so popular, they are offering these two additional panels with another group of Maine filmmakers. MFA will hold another all day workshop at PMC on Saturday May 12 from 10am-5pm on “The Camera Assistant and Data Management.” Again, as with the April workshop, this one is limited to 16 participants, so if you are interested in attending, sign up early before it is sold out.
